About the Speaker

Engineer Hao-giang Tay is a highly experienced Fire Engineer with over 30 years of experience. He graduated with a Master’s Degree in Fire Safety Engineering from the University of Edinburgh. He is the principal fire safety engineering consultant at Fire Safety Engineering Sdn Bhd, where his company conducts fire risk assessments and mitigation for corporate clients for business continuity.

He is heavily involved in various professional organizations, serving as the Past International President and current Trustee and Board of Directors member of the Institution of Fire Engineers (IFE). He also chairs the Technical Committee for Fire Properties of Building Materials in the Department of Standards Malaysia National Standard Committee for Fire Safety (NSC13). Additionally, he has authored the “Guide to Fire Protection in Malaysia” and has spoken at international fire conferences in several countries.
